Kingdom Come

The Kingdom is a fine thing isn’t it? We use the phrase so easily, we work for the kingdom, Your kingdom come. What is the “kingdom”?
Nisseem enjoyed King Arthur stories, the story of the rising king and how he tries to make a kingdom where everyone is safe, has a fair life and everyone gets treated as equals. The kingdom of Camelot sounds so appealing even now, (although I am not sure I really enjoy jousting) the principle remains that if everyone works together gathering around a round table contributing so that a society could be accomplished without force but by desire.
That is the Kingdom, “It is God’s actions and attributes-not as expressed by God, but rather as human beings express them. It is as if God’s actions have struck a resonant chord in us, and we thereby act in a similar manner.”
In Hebrew there are distinctions in the language that express a monarchy and a dictatorship. For Muslims all over the world, God is a dictator who pushes them and forces them as slaves. They have set up their own governments in this fashion, from presidents to family order, they have no concept within Islam of the Kingdom that teaches the right path instead of forcing it. From father, to tribal leader, to governor, to president, to God, the voting is rigged, and it is expected to be. Their sense of fatalism is so strong, they don’t have any expectation of having a voice.
Timothy shares that when he heard the verse John 8:38, “So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” it changed everything for him. He says he could just picture all the things he was freed from. Free indeed is an amazing concept to all of us, but to those living in the midst of the Muslim world it is mythological in it’s beauty. Freed from slavery, guilt, shame. As Patrick Henry said “Give me liberty or give me death.” Freedom in the Son is real freedom and without it we are dead.
Our privilege is to be able to invite Muslims around the world to have true liberty, to be children of freedom, to live in The Kingdom of God here on earth, that we might all be invited to sit at the round table and be taught how to express God’s will. To be His reflection to the whole world.
“Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!”
Will you join us in the call to “arms”, praying for the Muslim world to be given the gift of true freedom? Will you help us show them they too can be children of freedom, not bound in chains of slavery? We are proud to serve in this calling, hearing the joy in their voices as they begin to see what this really means to their lives, what a load they can put down to enjoy being children of freedom! Join with us in helping them to join the “resonant chord” with the Kingdom.
Mazel Tov!
Literally translated means “Good drip from above” Mazel is always used in connection with something trickling from above. Think of the cavern “cave kisses” in area caverns, where the stalactites drip moisture onto the floor below. Mazel is linked with the stars-dripping light. Mystics in Judaism, according to Rabbi Aron Moss, say that the mazel is the root of the soul, the part that remains above shining a ray into our body. Sudden intuition, peace from nowhere, inspiration all come from this trickle from our soul above, when the beam brightens just a bit allowing more light in.
Tov means good.. but more than good it means functional good. A watch may be good.. but a working watch that keeps perfect time is Tov. There is a sense of action. Ra is the opposite.. dysfunctional.. evil, or out of order. These are the terms that are used in the garden of Eden. God saw that it was TOV. The tree of Tov and Ra. Order and dysfunction. “taste and see that the Lord is good..” God is good.
